Shannon Hummel’s 2015 work down here, called “a rare gem” by The New York Times, is a dance of fierce attachments existing because of, despite, and within the compromises we make to survive remaining together. down here makes visible, with the help of hundreds of tiny silver dolls, the little scars we leave on one another in our pursuit of control. Originally performed in 2015 by Calia Marshall and Katie Dean at New York City's Brooklyn Academy of Music, this revival will be performed by Cora Dance company members Ross Honaker and Ammara Shafqat.
